I saw the whole show with no problems. I think it was alright but I miss the close ups we are used to from her movies. And it was very difficult to hear what she said doing the show. She seemed nervous but I think she will be better when she gets more used to making these kind of live shows.

Finally, It was absolutly UNABLE to watch anything, I had an error message Windows media cannot read the format of file let you try with rtps or http......
I try with real player : idem

Too pity, I hope the next time this technical problem will be repaired

Frigo contacted me and said that there were some technical problems with the show. I fired up a stream capture and have managed to get the complete show in relatively good quality (capped at 1500kbps) so that I could send it to Frigo.

If its agreed by Wiska, I will make this capture available to those who could not see it. I would also advise next time to not embed the stream URL into flash so that a faster workaround can be made.

One final note. It might have been worth having someone in the room monitoring and zooming the camera in a bit. It did seem to be a tad too far away from the actual action. When its converted to stream size, it did mean that Wiska was only filling around 20% of the screen with the rest being a red curtain and sofa. This is not a criticism, more a comment to be considered for future shows.

However, my congratulations on achieving a great free live cam show which is no easy task. There are multiple technical issues that can plague these kind of performances and apart from the Windows Media Player issue, it was a success.

I spent years and years working on a website where a group of "cappers" (aka, people who capture video streams) used to present their latest caps on a private forum.

From my time there I ended up going through various methods to capture streams and ended up with a variety of software tools that are extremely effective at this job.

In this instance I used Windows Media Recorder 11.0, using ADA proxies (via nforce packet scheduling) capping on a Quad Core x6700 PC. The results are very good but there is a significant lip sync issue (but that may have been from lag). I can fix the lip sync but won't as I don't think its overly important.

Windows Media Recorder is more commonly known as WMR11 (so search google for that if you want it). It will tear apart any mms or rtsp protection (so yes, it will cap from AEBN, Hotmovies, etc). Combined with a PC running Windows Media Player 10 and the rather notorious DRM remover software (of which I will not name here because Microsoft are a tad upset that it exists) you can basically capture any live stream (DRM'd or not) and play to your hearts content.

Edit - For the record, I fixed the lip synch issue on the version I have uploaded. I also added a website tag and her website image as the intro.

Okay, I think I will upload to an anonymous location and then drop the link on here. I have increased the file to 2000Kbit quality and ran a smoothing filter to boost the quality.

I'll let Frigo download first and then open up the doors. So long as I am not inundated with hundreds of downloads, I'll leave it online for a while.

I also know the file is probably not public domain, but I am going to assume that it was created as a way to boost interest in Wiska's website and therefore this upload is helping those promotional goals. If Wiska or anyone involved in this material objects to this file being made available I will remove it immediately.

I am going to tag the file with Wiska's website URL. I believe this should have been on the live stream anyway and I'll add this as a way for people to know where it came from to help promote her site.

Thank you Steve for this explanation with much more detail, even if it's a bit hard for my very very very brain, I am absolutly not in infoamtic activity....so this vocabulary seems to come from Sideral Space, BUT if i understood your message, when we are a user of windows media player 9 (I use still Windows 98 yesssss I am a dinosor... it's definitly unable to watch this show ??

Windows Media Player 9 should be able to play a live stream without too many problems so long as your overall system meets the minimum requirements (i.e. fast enough connection to the internet and a decent processor in the computer (anything above a P3 should suffice for streaming)).

The problem with the show was that I believe the server which was streaming the movie was having some problems. I received a few "server not responding" errors when I checked it. It was not actually the fault of the visitor, more a technical problem with the actual website (from what I could tell)

Or maybe it was not a load balanced server and it simply had too many visitors.

Anyway, whatever the problem was I am sure it will be fixed for the next show. You will be able to download the last show soon when I have finished with the video file and have uploaded.
