Fraud?

Postby StivKuk on Wed Nov 07, 2012 2:15 pm

I'm at my wits' end: I subscribed to an european porn site (I give you no name - yet), got the confirmation, saw the money leave my account, got in once.

Since then: the login and password fields blank out when I log on, and I get nowhere.

I have written to tech support, general support, almost every e-mail address on the site, and filled in any number of online forms. No reply! It's been over a week now.

I have written to the billing company, and sent them forms, etc. No reply.

I have cancelled re-billing - but will that work? I have had no reply.

What can I do? Name and shame? Call my bank and say I'm a porn customer  , can they cancel a payment please?

Advice is wanted! Thanks!

Sorry about that. :(
If you have cancelled the recurring payments, the future payments will not be made, don't worry.

Edit: You cancelled the re-billing on that fraud site or Paypal (etc)? If you did it via Paypal or etc. this will work, but otherwise probably you have to cancel it via your bank. And you may say that your credit card information have been stolen.

Thanks for your advice, texwiller! I finally found, through the work of a chat-friend who works in the same porn empire, that I had made a mistake when I bookmarked the login-page.

It's all complicated, but by clicking on one option in the menu of the site in question, one gets out of the site paid for without any warning. It looks all the same, but if you try the login from there you won't get anywhere. This is a defect of the site construction, and it trapped me on the outside  before discovering the error of my ways.

Ok then, problem solved :)
I experienced this malfunction of a site this summer, on August. I made a purchase from a clothing store. But when I enter the login details to see the purchase/shipping details, it took me to mainpage without login. This is a redirection problem I guess.

See you.
