Your line of reasoning can easily be turned around. If John Staglioni (the founder and owner of the Evil Angel company) is indeed a good business man, than over the years he must have acquired a decent fortune. This would give him the financial freedom to engage in various hobby projects. For example to shoot alternative, home-made porn. He would have the freedom to release this material on DVD on his own Evil Angel label, without too much concerns about the profitability. That is the great advantage of being 50+ and financially secure: you are free to do projects that you really care about.

I agree about turning it around. But if times are tight these days, as we so often hear and read about, then I would expect Buttman to do what sells. I would guess that doing his own pet projects is more something of the past, but perhaps he still can afford to do them. I hope he can, he's earned the right to do what he wants.
