Fantastic news, good work Chris. I may just start buying contemporary porn again. So fed up with guys grabbing, slapping and generally abusing girls and the robotic, lifeless ultra-gonzo style of the Russians. As the blurb up there indicates, there's a huge gap in the market for stylishly made, loosely-scripted porn that doesn't look off the peg. If this stuff is anything like as good as Private circa: '99-'06 they've a long-term customer in me again.

Mick Blue is good news, Brossman fine but hate Toni Ribas - one of the worst of the thuggish woman beater types. Weird as I remember him from his early Private days as a very meek, innocent type but then from about 2004 onwards he became this horrible thug on screen. His nadir might have been Manuel Ferrara's Sexual Compulsion when he treats Claudia Rossi like total dirt. Had to bin that DVD.

I may wait to see what others make of these. I love Private and want to support them but I need to know how the guys treat the girls before I part with any cash. Literally don't buy any current porn just now because of the way the established guys behave.

Yeah, I hear ya - I'm also totally fed up with the ugly, misogynistic route that a lot of the Gonzo genre seems to have taken and appears so worrying obsessed with.

Sorry, I am not buying it. They had their GOLDEN age and I highly, highly doubt they can turn back the hands of time and do it again. Private was the shit for a lot of reasons many years ago. Their "exclusivity" of great directors, a great number of naturally attractive women and high grade produced content. What also helped was the internet was still somewhat immature. Unfortunately there's faaaar too much type of porn to choose from and a lot of it is FREE through various torrent sites and tube sites.

There's only so many dollars to stretch all over the place, oh yeah the economy is in the dumper. There will be no more Amanda's Dairies, Dangerous Things, Matadors, the early Triple X series. No Sex Therapies or SuperFuckers or early Private Realities, no Virginia Stories. ABSOLUETLY no Apocalypse Climax or Private Backstage.

Private is a relic of the golden age, at least for my generation and that's real talk....
