since july 2009, porn is illegal in the ukraine, unless used for medical purposes. the production and distribution as well as the merely posession is prohibited. as i understand, wiska outed herself as a pornstar and is now in trouble for that. i'm sorry for her, but i guess a law is a law, even if it is a pointless one. i surely respect her courage to stand up for her rights as a adult performer, but she had to be aware of the risks associated with her protest. i guess even in a liberal country she could get herself in trouble with such statements; i don't think that the welfare office of any country would held a well known pornstar for a good parent.

in this sense i hope wiska has a good laywer and a loyal partner. good luck to her.

I stumbled onto this thread and think its hilarious... !!!!
Porn againast the law in Ukraine, yet the young girls some of minor age, women some actually married are everywhere prostituting themselves for cash. you cant throw a little stone without hitting a street walker prostitute, as they are everywhere. calls girls, escorts in clubs restaurants etc......
what a joke to bann porn when their women are the real live porn workers within their country.

Yeah, Ukraine unfortunately banned porn like USA banned alchools in the 20s! The effect will be the same: porn consumption will continue in a different way or in other places. This is also helping prostitution which is somehow replacing porn as a popular entertainment.
I do not think however this choice will help Ukrainian women... who are fleeing the country for many other reasons.
In other countries porn can really help some women earning bucks in a better way than prostitution only.
There's no just exploitation! And for some, porn remain just a first step in showbiz where starlets can really earn their life...if they are wise and smart
