Japanese film !

can someone help me with the following,
Q:
i got a Japanese movie that wont play on my divx player, (i've also tried windowsmedia & realplayer), you can just make out the film but its all in green. do i need some kind of codec???

Why dont you try K-Lite Codec Pack
It comes with Media Player Classic and It will play any video or music file that you can find

What codecs do you have installed right now, besides divx? Chances are that its xvid. But if you already have that, and it still won't play get the K-lite and install all the direct show filter and vfw codecs. You should'nt need to install anything else.

The K-lite Codec pack cured my problems with video, though are are a few file types I have problems with however VLC media player seems to play everything else.
