well even in die GDR, Eastern Germany, every pupil had to learn Russian as the first foreign language.
But in fact, the Russian language skills were not better than in Western Germany.
Maybe because the communist rule was hated anyway with the majority.

It´s funny, you have an excellent worldwide news channel, but even this programme broadcasts in English.
Very good English!!

Russia can only hope that more foreigners are willing to learn Russian, if Russia starts to convey are more positive impression of its culture.
And with that I do not say that Russia needs to follow the western capitalist countries.
I´m only saying that Russia must start to modernize its inner affairs with the great cultural and scientific background it has.

I think, I know better 18 sentury of Russian history :lol:
