Thank you for all of your emails regarding Michaela Isizzu. Clearly you want to see more samples so I have posted some more below. Here are some answers to your questions that I believe would be of interest to everybody reading this blog. What we did was drive around looking for areas with large amounts of people. When we saw an area that looked good, we would hop out and Michaela would unzip her dress and we would immediately start shooting. Our rule was to never stay in the same place for longer than 2-3 minutes, and then she would put her dress back on and we would race out of there and go find a different spot. The only year we got caught by the police was when we stayed at the same spot for 10+ minutes, so we learned to get in and out of each location quickly. The problem was, and as you will see in the photos and video, that Michaela should not have worn a dress that zipped up in the front, because trying to zip it up in on the run was impossible, and quite funny at times. She would run down the street trying to hold it closed as we would make our way back to the car, and then still have trouble trying to get it zipped up back in the car. We loved the red dress but it should have been a slip-on version and not a zippered dress. Also, I shot most of the pictures with a 24mm (pretty wide angle) lens so the people are actually a lot closer than it appears in the pictures. The video will show the relative distance of the crowd much better than the pictures do.
