Its interesting but i really dont care that much about resolution higher then dvd at all really. Only extremely rare scenes would i choose to save in the highest quality i can get. for instance a b/g hardcore scene with sandy or nella. or the slimewave scene with nessa devil which is the only scene ive seen her take it in the face.

My preferred resolution is 540p. 1080p and 720p is mostly too big and i watch videos on my "little" Ultrabook and not on a big TV.

There are a couple of reasons why I prefer my video reolution to be dvd or lower and the biggest one is that my ISP limits me to a maximum of 130 Gigs of download/upload per month without penalty. The only way I can stay below that number is if I don't downloat too many HD videos. I mean your average Brazzer HD 1080p videos is over 2 Gigs and a 720p is over 1.5 Gigs. If you download all of the videos they upload in one month then you will easily eat up at least 60 and 80 Gigs and probably more. Now if you only join one site and you don't stream anything else then fine but I don't so I usually download teh 854x480 version.

Another reason why I tend to avoid HD content is that too many studios try to save money with makeup artist and what was once hidden by the proper application of makeup is impossible to miss in High Def. Things like pimples, razor burns, bruises and normal skin problems were probably hard to see in standard resolution but HD is not kind to the performer.

I also think that HD in porn is overrated because it is not arousing to see every small hair and skin problems. And as long you watch it on pc screen and not at a big home cinema tv dvd resolution is fine. but from poll it seems many people have a different opinion about HD, would be fine if somebody of that fraction could describe his opinion.

actually i fully understand those that enjoy HD coz u do get to see some details that can be quite a turnon as it feels like ur more "right there" with it (just a guess). However to me its just not worth the time and space for it. well like i mentioned...some extremely rare cases i would want it at best quality i could get, but thats like a 1 out of 1000 scenes or something.

Not an easy question to answer. I have plumped for 1080p but it is a lot more complicated then just resoolution for me.

For starters, i would rather see a decent 720p bitrate than an overextended 1080 file. Case in point, i have subbed to several kink sites the last few months and they produce some great material and also some great quality. However, rather than go the 1080p route they produce two le els of 720p, usually a shitty noisy artifact ridden one of arounf 500-800mb and one which does the scene justice of around 2-3gb. Now, given that theis scenes are around the hour marker i would MUCH rather have 2.5gb spread over 720 lines than over 1080 at a lower bitrate: more lines is good but more lines of noise is no advance on less lines of quality image.
Tbh the difference between 720 and 1080 is really rather tiny compared to the difference crap lighting, poor bitrates and poorencoding makes.

Someone mentioned Brazzers and for, in terms of picture quality they are the standard to aspire to, amongst porn sites. Some evil angel stuff (mike adriano and manuel ferrera especially) is also great in 1080p.

On the other hand,i am giving up o. 21sextury. My annual sub runs out any day and i wont be renewing. The analteenangels scenes are oversaturated and noisy, anything by the gapeland crew looks either dull or has a colour cast (like they dont even give a shit what it looks like), buut the real tragedy is Assholefever and DPfanatics. Those sites are usually well lit and produced but then sent out as super-crapola 1080p that descends i to mush if anyone moves above a snails pace. Even if they are too tight to upload larger files if the made a 720p mp4 of the same file size as the 1080p wmv format they use they could really improve matters.

thx for feedback, but the right choice would have been 720p than. if you choose 720p on that poll doesnt mean that you dont want 1080p, it just means 720p and everything above is fine so also 1080p.

you are right with bitrate it is very important, of course. in the poll every format means than in optimal bitrate. so if somebody is happy with 720p and 1080p with optimal bitrate he need to choose 720p. thx

720p is enough to make me happy and, as i say, for. very site i have subbed to other than Brazzers, given the megabytes per file i would rather have seen it 'spent' on the lower hd res for a better overal image.

and why especially 1080p?

my reason against 1080p (in internet porn, in home cinema with very huge screen it can make sense): in optimal quality one video needs about 4 GB space, with a collection of 100 videos it would be already 400 GB on harddrive. you see every pore and skin problems. you need at least a 1920*1080 hd screen for the pc, on a usual 1280*1024 it would make no sense. when playing a 720p video on a bigger screen and if you choose a bigger viewing distance human eyes will not notice any difference. i suppose it is just about that most people want the "best" resolution they can get on market (at the moment).

The reason I like 1080p is because that is the closest size to the resolution I use. I run 1920x1080 or 2560X1440 depending on PC. Not very concerned with filesize.

a disballance ? Average ultrabook costs twice as an average 40" TV set...

Btw I'm missing 4k option . Seriously have anybody watched a movie or video in this resolution other than in a cinema?
I checked some 4k demo clips from web so far on our professional EIZO 4k 56" display (actually not 4k but quad full hd) - 100k $ worth ) and I can tell you the resulution was impressive from given viewing distance, better than a 4k cinema, so I can imagine for 3D porn would be great but for normal for porn...even 1080p is way enough, I wouldnt give a fuck...

Anybody tried this 3D stuff? (for example from deepstars3d.com)
