And there's no end in sight. In Germany in January 400 000 fewer people had work than a year before, in the US 600 000, ... This is a crisis with dimensions we never had before in the world.

At the same time (and this is the other side) the porn biz needs the cheeper Russian fees and those do-anything Russian cuties to at least cross-finance more expensive productions. Things are bound to improve in SPB and I do hope smart girls like Juliana will have an important part in it.

Significantly lower fees for actresses (and actors) than the going rates in Budapest/Prague/Milan etc. exactly allow the directors to invest some of the saved money into production details such as dressing the girls, choosing interesting sets, spending more time to find actors with good chemistry etc.

And about the cross-financing just two examples: Rocco shot material for at least 10 dvds in St. Peterburg paying maximum a third he would have payed in Budapest, but this helps him to realize his Budapest projects even in this economically hard times. He just cross-finances them with his Russian shot stuff.
Another example is ATV`s "Mente Criminale", a quite expensive Italian style feature production. One scene out of five was shot in St. Peterburg - and needless to say it was a high priced dp a director can just get sooo much cheaper in Russia.
Finally, I may remind you that also Pierre Woodman used this cross-financing tactique for his Golden Age films shot in Bali or Brasil. He always tried to shoot some scenes with (cheeper) local girls.

Believe me I also prefer good chemistry and and interesting settings for my daps!

Ok, agree this is sometimes the case with bigger companies (Rocco's Furious Fuckers is another example). But who shoots in Russia at the moment? Devils and Sineplex don't cross-finance anything in Budapest or Prague, they only shot in Russia (ok, Devils in the US also).Oh, and I don't want that it sounds to attack anyone. Everyone has it's tastes, and my expectations are too often too high (maybe I should watch lesser CC movies ).

I perfectly agree for these two companies.
But Sineplex is basically Piter based and Devils may actually cross-finance their US-shots in Russia.
What I was talking about are all the other big and small companies not yet shooting in Russia, but faceing project financing problems from LA to Buda. St. Peterburg has a lot to offer to them, but only if it keeps the fees at a very competive level.


PS: I watched almost every CC film since 1999. This is also the reason I want CC to shoot more daps again and book Russian girls for it.

CC would be a fool not to shot a dap with Juliana. And I dont think he is.
Wheter he shoots in Budapest or St. Peterburg is his choice. If he has the funds to shoot all his porn in Budapest thats fine, most of his collegues dont have them anymore. And besides most of those Russian/Ukrainian girls he shot in the past in Budapest had fees on the lower lewel of the Budapest going rates. Nikolettas Ukrainian girls booked by CC, too, for instance always worked like this - good price and high performance.
Shooting in St. Peterburg for sure he could save much more.
...and the girls would feel more confortable at home, CC could teach the Russians a lession in production standards etc. But its CC`s choice...
