What is your opinion about the porn-label Jules Jordan Video?

Obviously I have respect for performer and director Jules Jordan, who started
his own porn company in 2006 after having worked for John Staglioni (Evil Angel)
for some years. He has been very successful. He managed to attracting several
top directors, such as Chris Streams. The company releases a steady stream
of high-quality American porn. Personally, I like the company best for the fact
that they are strong in the interracial genre. With series like Lex the Impaler,
Rico the Destroyer, Mandingo Massacre, Black Owned, The Brother Load.

However, I do have some reservations about the label.

First of all Jules Jordan's company does not want to me seen as a "all-anal"
company [Since this would make them a second Evil Angel?]. And so they have
invented this slightly strange policy that there should be at least one (preferably
more) non-anal scenes on each DVD. Only DVD's which are clearly designated as
all-anal [by having a word like ASS, ANAL, DP or GAPE in the title] seem to be
exempt from the rule. This makes it tough for customers like me, to assess
whether a promising new DVD is worth purchasing. Unfortunately you can't rely
on the box cover pictures, a full DVD review is essential.

Secondly JJV believes it must distance itself somewhat from mainstream
American hardcore porn. It attempts to create its own brand of quality porn
by returning to a more "classical" style of directing, in which there is (also)
room for sensual elements and tease. Well, I think that is a perfectly
reasonable position to take. However, the danger is that the time line
of a scene can get compromised too much. Take for example a 25 minute
scene, where the first 10 minutes are tease and oral, the next 10 minutes
are vaginal, only the laste 5 minutes are anal. This is fairly typical for JJV.

I tend to avoid such DVDs, in the hope of finding products that match my
preferences better.

If the above sounds a bit too negative, let me reassure you that I like the
company a lot. In my list of favourite interracial-anal DVDs, three JJV titles
[all by director Alexander DeVoe] occupy the top positions!

However, for the last 8 years I hardly ever buy US porn anyway.
I sometimes order some JJP dvd if they release anal creampie friendly Euro stuff witch-hunt adhering Stagliano doesnt or didnt want in his catalogue.

Stopped watching JJ films once he left Evil Angel.
I think he lost motivation and started making"safe movies/fake anal films like Xenomorgue described.

The good stuff is still good; I don't know if that warrants every title being at "premium" pricing though.
