I have some advice for you guys who rip into Pierre for his business model here all the time: If you think it's so easy to run a successful porn site, why don't you try yourself? Take some money, get a team together and run your own site. So you can correct all those 'obvious business mistakes' you see and make tons of money in the process. It's so easy to give advice from your armchair. It all changes when you do it yourself. Once you start you own business, your respect for other companies will grow drastically because you know they deal with the same kind of challenges, problems, disappointments and annoyances you have to deal with 24/7. Just my 2c guys...

I'm not advocating the behavior of those who pay for membership 3 x per year, nor do I support piracy of content. I have been a paying member of your site since relaunch, and I can provide my username in a private email if you'd like.

My point is Pierre has been the most vocal about the industry, tube sites and piracy. He blames everyone else for poor numbers and low traffic, then when suggestions are made by fans with internet business experience, he slams them. On his forum, in November 2014, that's 9 months ago David, 270 days, he said October 14 was his worst month and if he continues to lose members he will close the site. He will simply never admit to mistakes or take advice from anyone. If he knows all, what happened to Woodman Entertainment ?
Despite personal preference, anal sex is the most popular act in adult entertainment, and Pierre is still very much the best at convincing girls to do their 1st anal with him. His production quality is on the low end of the scale, but he still has the competitive advantage of 1st time anal exclusives, which the USA market would jump all over. When I did my MBA, one of the core discussions in marketing for internet based providers was called "first-mover advantage". Give this a read sometime. The basic message is "If you have exclusive content, be 1st to market".

I understand your points Horndogger, and I appreciate you laying them out in a civilized fashion.

My point was this: At the end of the day, its Pierres company. I think fans can and should voice their opinions, but Pierre and other business owners must be able to run their business how they seem fit. Without constant attacks, without receiving unsolicited business education on forums. Fans should voice their opinions about the product (the scenes, the models, the sites etc) IMO, we can all listen to customer requests and suggestions about the customer side -- I am sure Pierres listens to his customers. But trying to give business advice IMO is a waste of time and just produces bad blood.

I can just tell you I usually ignore emails when people tell me I am running my business in an idiotic way -- but I love emails where people tell me what they'd change in our scenes, what they don't like in our website software, what models they like to see more etc. To me personally, the former is worthless (opinions about how to run a business, there are so many ways to skin a cat IMO there is no one 'right' one), the latter is priceless (opinion of customer experience with constructive criticism). Just my 2c again

P.S. Pierre is right about Alexa, it's not really telling you too much about revenues. You can have a site which shoots up to 20k with galleries/freesites on the same domain but they make next to nothing in revenues. And then you have guys like abbywinters.com who rank at 50k but make multiple times more revenues than many sites sitting are 10k alexa. Abbywinters
