Hey ogpaps what equipement are you using right now ??

We're using 35 mm lense adapter from Redrock©® Industries hooked on hdv Sony camera/25p fully equiped with manual Nikon lenses as fish-eye 16mm, 20mm, 50mm, 80mm, 300mm so we get full film look contrarly to a basic hdv camera delevering a flat digital shiny image where u can spot every little details from buckets of paint on models as make-up.
Some like it flat stuff, we hate it.
Then we get amazing feedback like we're out of focus or worse when we're just playing with depth of field and other.
It's needs a little knowledge in camera/photography use, it's quite difficult to adjust but great results come out as the skin tone, fiber of clothes among what u can expect.
They did used some of those adapter in the late 90's like P.Thomas at Vivid on Canon Xl1i think for exemple and the last use of it i spoted was on Merc. from Justin Slayer released under EA a year ago or more. They haven't used it since then to my knowledge.
But since it's quite a hassle to use of course it's not the standard and all the auto- proclamed actor/camera/director men wouldnot use that kind of tools because either they don't know about it or just got into capturing images a minute ago without any background in the imagery.
Buying a 6000 € camera and getting to shoot right away just doesnot do it.
It's looks like amateur videography and very few people get to the clean result of Elegant Angel products like The performers of the year release even we're not into that kind of products but still respect the effort done compared to some Private stuff or 21sextury or even Dorcel.
Our background is the boardsports industry and specially skateboarding in wich we evolved for the last 20 years producing content in imagery mixed with the riding itself.
Making hip-hop videos, filming concerts, graphic designing, filming action and beeing project creatives is our main activity and only driven by those.

Our next purchase is a Redcam©® so we can push it a little more in the way we want to produce adult content.
Today Digital Playground is doing a great job using that equipment and that's where we tend to go surely when we 're heading to blu-rayd support.

Yes we had only released 3 flicks but u know everyone has to start at on point, don't u think? Comparing us to some other that have done 100 or more is just no right but i'm surprised by the interest in us knowing that we're no one and represent nothing.

I do think that we represent an alternative to all the stuff that's out.

I didnot approach big companies, they did.

We struggle but don't complain about it, and work our ass off to deliver some sophisticated stuff on blu-ray and not fooling people with stuff filmed with 6000 euros cameras that end it on a plastic box or website in 4/3.

Average salary is lower than in many other european country but so is the cost of life.
