But it's not like porn producers in Europe or USA that they have an official company in Russia where they pay tax.
So all the official things and paperwork is done outside of Russia.
I expect that they just go there on tourist visa, take some cameras with them, film their scenes and return.
After all porn is (and was) never considered as a real form of "work" in Russia and Ukraine, officially it doesn't exist.
I never heard of a porn company that is based in Russia, but maybe somebody else knows an example? But I think not.
That's why I think nothing will really change practically.

Also a sign for this is that almost every scene is filmed inside a hotel or rented apartment, never outside.
Because outside they can be detected by police officers which could get them in trouble.
In the short scenes with Rocco that were filmed on Red Square everybody wore jackets and nobody could notice that these scenes were filmed for a porn movie.

You are right, officially there is no porn filmed ever in Russia, thats the reason why only corruption will grow with this new law in this fucked up country.

Espesially the well known guys like Omar or Giorgio, If they continued there and got caught, the goverment might want to make and example of them and in that situation bribes do very little.

Everybody with a camera entering the country could be a possible "porn tourist", so that will not be a risk.
And once you're in your hotel room is there any risk there? I think not.

I think the hotel personnel won't be very eager to call the cops if they are suspecting something, especially since Russians don't like and trust the police themselves. Secondly, the hotel will get a bad name if things come out, so 99% chance they will say nothing.

Seriously, the risk of being caught is much bigger in the USA and western Europe (not in case of a porn shooting, but in case of an escort) because the police there has the respect from the majority of the inhabitants, en there are examples of hotels who called the police if they suspected something.

Very possible, I think.
But only Omar, Giorgio, Rocco and Princess Donna shot the porn I really liked in Russia. All of them are well known.
Omar says he has official info that there will be no problem for him. I hope his offcial source is good and powerful enough.
For the rest nothing might change and after a while new directors will surface and all goes back to norm. But in the meantime there might be a dreadful draught!

Thanks for the info figured someone here would know something more... I suppose they are not being that missed.. I just find their disappearance odd.. perhaps they were done away with by some angry Russian father ?

Deeply the problem is more about freedom in Russia !!! When a country lock the porn with severe punition in case you do it, it is always the first step to other freeless in the future. Those who think it's good to make porn forbidden there have no idea how Russia will go back in time step by step and they will cry !!!

It depends on which freedom we are talking about. Russia has one of the most free internet policies in the world.
This is also the reason why there is so much illegal stuff stored on Russian servers!
Reason for this is that the old leaders don't understand the power of internet.
They are only interested in their own position and don't like to change anything.
The young generation (<35) knows what's going on in the world, so as soon as they have the power, things will change.

I wish Bruno to be right but it seems they are going in opposite way !!! Yesterday they gave two years of working camp ( goulag is better word !!! ) and this for a provocative dance in a church !!!
We are 500 years back in time and the Russian power don't care what occident think !!! I'm more pessimistic than optimistic for Russia future about freedom ...

Firstly, if it was just a dance in a church, it wouldn't have been such a problem. But it was in the largest and most important cathedral in Moscow. Something like Notre Dame in Paris or St. Peter in Rome. If a punk band entered there with masks and shouting, the police would also have caught them.

Secondly, in Soviet times this cathedral and many others were blown up by Stalin because religion was banned in the communist times. Now they have at least religious freedom. Many people (especially older) are very afraid of protests and revolutions, because they know that it has brought only misery to their country. The 1917 revolution brought communism, with no freedom at all. Next revolution was in 1991, then a drunk guy came to power (Yeltsin) and their empire collapsed. So the fact that Pussy Riot had a political message is probably the reason why they brought them to court, not just singing a song in a church. I was in Moscow last June, and you can see that people are afraid of "strange behaviour". Not that I behaved in a strange way there but for example, when somebody starts to play a guitar in the street to collect some money, a police car arrives in 5 minutes and tell them to leave.

Many people have criticism towards Russia, and often they are right, but they don't understand that in Russia there is not really a good alternative for Putin's party, because his opponents are the communists on one side and extreme nationalists (Zhirinovsky) on the other, and they are much worse than what they have now. In 2010, the first Burger King opened in Moscow and now, just 2 years later, they have 31 stores. So even if people don't see the changes here in Europe, if you walk in the streets there and talk with people, you know that it takes only time to get the changes people want, especially because all the young people have mobile phones and internet, they know what's going on in the world. This was different 10 years ago. The problem is that we don't know how long it will take, be it 5, 10 or 20 years...?

In a way I like Poutine because he has made Russia stronger than before, but at same time, to give two years of jails for a opposant song with dance, it's too much. And same with porn, 6 years of jails for this, it's insane !!! Of course in other place they give you death for porn and it's even worst but the truth is, SEX = FREEDOM and FREEDOM = ANARCHY in the mind of rude politician, so they try to block it !!! It's stupid because one day, even in South Arabia or China, there will be porn too, but it will takes time ...
Religions are the best poison on earth !!!
